Matt Van Grootel (Dip Arch Tech)

Matt, one of Turner Road Architecture's senior architectural designers, has worked in the industry for over 14 years – gaining vast experience in wide-ranging projects from high end residential, commercial healthcare, industrial design and numerous community projects.

Matt’s strengths as a designer include an innate understanding of construction rules and regulations and excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail. His creative talents come to the fore when dealing with tricky or limited spaces – he enjoys the challenge of finding the most logical yet unique way to use a space efficiently.

Matt says: “I find it very rewarding coming up with a design that clients’ love the look of and which also incorporates all of their ideas and practical requirements. I also find creating 3D models of a clients’ design is particularly satisfying - it really helps them to visualize and get excited about the end product.” 

In his downtime, Matt - a self-confessed car enthusiast - also enjoys fishing in the summer months and snowboarding in the winter.
